HOW TO REACH SPLIT?

Split can be reached by the Adriatic Coastal Road, winding by the sea or by hinterland roads connected to Split. It will take you 4 hours to get to Zagreb with highway and 5 hours to get to Rijeka by car. You can also reach Split if you get on a coast ferry liner from Rijeka or Dubrovnik, from all central Dalmatian islands. There are excellent fast and regular ferry lines from Ancona and Pescara, Italy. From the Airport Split flights connect the city with Zagreb several times a day, as well as with European capitals. There are also trains from Split to the north of the country and further on to Europe. You can transport your car by train, as well.

 

BY PLANE

Croatia is conected with most of the European cities. Most of those flights are connected with capital town Zagreb and other major cities, specialy during the season when lots of international flight companies have regular flights to Croatia.

  • Transfer of passengers from the Airport to the Cities organised by “Croatia Airlines” buses.
  • There is a local bus every 20 minutes.
  • Taxi is aviable during the operating time of Split Airport.

BY CAR OR BUS

Fastest way to reach Split is to catch the motorway. Motorway is very good conected with all major cities, but it is still not finished. So route Split - Dubrovnik is regular fast road.
In the Republic of Croatia, tolls are paid in proportion to the length of the used section and according to the corresponding vehicle group. At toll stations of Hrvatske autoceste d.o.o. (HAC), toll can be paid in cash, by credit cards - AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS, MASTER CARD, MAESTRO, VISA, by cheques and by means of subscription. Toll can also be paid in foreign currencies according to the exchange rate of PBZ on the day of toll payment.
