The response of the volunteers who want to participate in the organization and implementation of the IAAF/VTB Bank Continental Cup has been great so far. The activities in regard of inviting all those who would like to support this great event as volunteers will continue. Based on the statement issued by Mr. Goran Kursar, head of the volunteer’s department, more than 100 applications were received and he expects that the number of applicants will be more than 400.
- We are very pleased that the people have actually recognized the value and importance of this great sports competition and that they want to actively participate. The contribution of volunteers is extremely important for such events and we hope that our volunteers will leave a good impression on all participants and fans of the Continental Cup and the athletic sport” – said Kursar.
- We have received calls from the faculty of Kinesiology and the college of Sports management “Aspira” to hold a presentation to their students this week and to explain them the duties and tasks of volunteers on such major sports events. Of course we hope that this presentation will attract many of the students to apply as a volunteer with us and support the Continental Cup. I believe that we will be getting more of such invitations and I also must mention, that many people that live outside of Split call us to inquire how they could become volunteers on the IAAF / VTB Bank Continental Cup „ – concluded Kursar.
